Another bad experience...

Thursday, November 16, 2006
Some of you might remember that I had a bad encounter with an optical shop few months back.. (Click here). Unfortunately, I had another one recently..

Initially I didn't want to blog about it de.. It was Kai who encouraged me to.. While studying for his cross-cultural buyer behaviour module, the textbook mentioned that asians complain to seek redress while westerners complain as a form of social responsibility. Come to think of it, sounds quite true..

So the story is.. I bought this pair of spectacles in July this year. As it is rimless, I took extra effort to take good care of it. BUT after wearing it for two months, the left frame detached itself from the lense. So i brought it down to the optical shop for repair.

I was told that it will take two weeks at most but in the end it took one month plus.. Studying for exams without my spectacles is terrible.. Anyway, while waiting for my specs, I gave them a few calls to check if it's ready for collection. I left my contact number and asked them to check with the factory and get back to me, but they NEVER did.. This happened a few times...

For example:
Me: May I know when will it be ready?
Salesman: I'll call and check with the factory tml..
Me: Alright, please let me know after u've checked. Thanks
Sales: Sure!
Another example:
Me: You said you'll get back to me, but I didn't receive any calls..
Salesman: Oh.. I've checked with the factory, but they couldn't confirm with me...
Me: Ok nvm.. So WHEN will it be ready?
Salesman: It should be ready by next week...

And the story repeats... I NEVER ever receive a call from them despite them giving me their promise that they will check and get back to me... -_-

On the day when I went down to collect it, they told me that the factory did not have spare frames that's of the same colour as mine.. So the result is? different colours for the left and right side... Zzzz... WTF!!! They didn't even bother to take the initiative to change both sides to ensure that the colour balances.. They also didn't bother to call and inform me about it! And the best thing is, they gave me the other side of the frame... What am I supposed to do? Eat it?!

From the picture below, you can see that they made loads of promises to their customers. My question is, are they really reliable & trustworthy? professional & experienced? Are they really committed to guarantee customer's satisfaction? You decide for yourselves...

Kukup Trip!!!

Thursday, November 09, 2006
I went to Kukup with Patrick and our friends last weekend. For the benefit of those who have not heard of the place (I have never heard of Kukup prior to the trip... Ya... Call me mountain tortise..), Kukup is a small fishing village located around 40km southwest of Johor Bahru. It is famous for its open-air seafood restaurants built on stilts over the water.

Day 1: On our way there...

Here's a horseshoe crab.. Uncle say in the olden days when children fall sick, the adults will let them take a look at this crab and the children will get well.. Amazing! Hmm... Does it really have healing power??

Guess what's the name of this little fellow here? Hmm.. Did I heard you say crab? Well.. you're half correct! The answer is... (drum roooolllll) It's a STUPID CRAB!!! Hahaha...
Poor crab.. Why do people call it stupid?? Coz uncle say this crab keeps its pincers to itself when it's being caught.. It doesn't try to attack you.. That's why.. Lolz..

Well.. Overall this trip was quite fun.. I get to experience and see alot of things which I never had before (typical Singaporean).. But it was quite boring at times... There's nothing else you can do except play mahjong, eat, drink and sleep.. I think I gain a few kg after the trip =..(
Anyway, exams are coming in less than a week's time.. So.. Won't be blogging soon I guess.. Feel free to drop me some best wishes for my exams.. Haha.. I need lots of good luck!!! =)

Output from months of friday meetings...

Wednesday, November 08, 2006
I really miss blogging... So sorry I took soooo long to update my blog.. These few weeks have been a very hectic period for me... Super busy with projects, quizzes, assignment etc. My group had our last two presentations today and here's our output from months of friday meetings at fastfood restaurants! After we got the reports printed out, it feels as if we've taken two loads off our shoulders (aka 放下两块大石头!) hahaha...

Reports

I really glad that the comments that we received from our 3 professors were quite positive! After the presentation, everyone started taking out their cameras.. Lolz.. So here's a picture with Prof Quazi(aka Uncle Quazi) and Prof Conner..
