Some of you might remember that I had a bad encounter with an optical shop few months back.. (Click here). Unfortunately, I had another one recently..
Initially I didn't want to blog about it de.. It was Kai who encouraged me to.. While studying for his cross-cultural buyer behaviour module, the textbook mentioned that asians complain to seek redress while westerners complain as a form of social responsibility. Come to think of it, sounds quite true..
So the story is.. I bought this pair of spectacles in July this year. As it is rimless, I took extra effort to take good care of it. BUT after wearing it for two months, the left frame detached itself from the lense. So i brought it down to the optical shop for repair.
I was told that it will take two weeks at most but in the end it took one month plus.. Studying for exams without my spectacles is terrible.. Anyway, while waiting for my specs, I gave them a few calls to check if it's ready for collection. I left my contact number and asked them to check with the factory and get back to me, but they NEVER did.. This happened a few times...
For example:
Me: May I know when will it be ready?
Salesman: I'll call and check with the factory tml..
Me: Alright, please let me know after u've checked. Thanks
Sales: Sure!
Another example:
Me: You said you'll get back to me, but I didn't receive any calls..Salesman: Oh.. I've checked with the factory, but they couldn't confirm with me...Me: Ok nvm.. So WHEN will it be ready?Salesman: It should be ready by next week...
And the story repeats... I NEVER ever receive a call from them despite them giving me their promise that they will check and get back to me... -_-
On the day when I went down to collect it, they told me that the factory did not have spare frames that's of the same colour as mine.. So the result is? different colours for the left and right side... Zzzz... WTF!!! They didn't even bother to take the initiative to change both sides to ensure that the colour balances.. They also didn't bother to call and inform me about it! And the best thing is, they gave me the other side of the frame... What am I supposed to do? Eat it?!
From the picture below, you can see that they made loads of promises to their customers. My question is, are they really reliable & trustworthy? professional & experienced? Are they really committed to guarantee customer's satisfaction? You decide for yourselves...
